A participatory and integrated approach to formulation of the Local Government Development Plans was conceived as an appropriate approach to improve service delivery. The formulation of the Buikwe District Development Plan could not have been accomplished without the support of various institutions and individuals. I take this opportunity to recognize and appreciate their generous contributions. I wish, on behalf of Buikwe District leadership, to particularly extend our gratitude to ICEIDA for the funding and technical support to develop this DDP II/Annual Work plan.
Our special appreciation also goes to the various development partners for their technical input during and after the Planning Conference. We appreciate their collaboration and continued commitment to contributing to the District efforts in capacity building, while we implement the development plan since it focuses on addressing service delivery and organization effectiveness gaps.
The technical officials and other stakeholders are also thanked for their input, participation, and enormous commitment during the formulation of the DDP II and the Annual Work plan 2015/16. I wish to urge you to continue with this spirit during the implementation of the plan.
In a special way, I wish to extend my great appreciation to the political leadership of Buikwe District for the hospitality and assistance accorded to the Consultant who facilitated the primary stages during formulation of the Development plan and later taken over by the District Planner.
Finally, I appeal to all stakeholders to generously contribute and participate in the implementation of the DDP II and the subsequent Annual Work plans.
